We have ‘Home scheme’ for the destitute. We build two-room homes with a small verandahIt has pacca floor with tin roof. We provide about 40-50 homes per year free of cost.

Sanitation is another priority sector for UT. We designed a toilet with pucca base, tin roof and ceramic pan. External unit consists of cleanable 5 concrete rings. Each costs about Tk. 14,000/-. We provide about 750 toilets on an average per year free of cost to the rural destitute.

Safe drinking water is also in our agenda, especially in arsenic prone areas. We provide about 40-50 Tube-wells every year free of cost; each costs about Tk. 15,000/- to 20,000/-.

Trust established a newly constructed Old Home named “Probeen Nibash” at Maloncha, Jamalpur to shelter the parents left out or neglected by their children. It was opened on 14 January 2019 to accommodate about 250 old people in its full capacity. We have about 70 probeens at the moment. They get free food, clothing, lodging and health care facilities. Idea is to give them a peaceful and predictable future for rest of their life.

Trust also provides “Old Age Allowances” of TK. 1000/- to 1500/- per month to about 200 old helpless people to make them more acceptable to the family.

We also provide monetary assistance to more than 100 helpless families per year to overcome their immediate family challenge like marriage, debt payment and advance treatment etc.

UT caters considerable fund to assist in building mosques and religious institutions, especially in remote rural areas. On an average, approximately 100-150 such institutions receive our assistance per year.

Responding to the call of distressed people in various natural and manmade disasters is another responsibility that we participate. On a regular basis, every year, we distribute 3000-4000 blankets to the poor during severe winter..
